Rapidly increasing video traffic has given rise to severe network congestion problems and a poor user experience in all types of networks including the Internet, mobile wireless networks and enterprise content delivery networks (CDNs). In addition, emerging multimedia services will be delivered to different types of terminals having various capabilities. Therefore, effective and efficient technologies that can optimize network resources and maximize the quality of experience (QoE) for end users are sought. The 3rd International Workshop on Multimedia Communications and Networking intends to address the challenges in delivering quality multimedia content over wired/wireless/heterogeneous networks. This workshop invites contributions that represent the latest developments in multimedia communication systems and networks, on both theoretical and practical aspects. Authors can find the detailed information on the technical areas covered by the workshop and paper submission in the 'Call for Papers' section.

The workshop also aims to bring together researchers and specialists from academia and industry to share their results and experience in developing new concepts, advanced multimedia technologies and network protocols; and to establish collaborations in these areas.
